The Phinest Starts And Sits For Week 11

Have you missed us? Apologies for not getting these out over the last few weeks. I won’t bore you with excuses or anything of the like but best believe I missed getting content out for you Phinest guys! Thanks for sticking with me and I believe I will have you guys covered over the the final weeks of the fantasy season and into the fantasy playoffs! Ya boy has been busy out here in these fantasy streets (and real life has been keeping me busy too) but make sure you follow the Fantasy’s Phinest right here (and on Twitter @fantasysphinest) so we can help you win your fantasy leagues. You can also follow me (@hype_phinest) on Twitter for fantasy football help too. With just a few weeks of the regular fantasy season left, it’s time to lock in on our fantasy lineups and ensure we have the best possible matchups so we can get these W’s, move up in the standings, and get to the fantasy playoffs. So let’s see what Week 11 has in store for us.

The Phinest Start’ EM

Sam Howell vs. NYG (51.4% Start)

Would you believe if I told you that Sam Howell is currently a top 10 fantasy quarterback for the 2023 season heading into Week 11? Would you believe me if I told you that Howell is averaging 18.3 FPPG? Well, it’s true! Howell has been in the kitchen cooking it up averaging 278.3 y/g and leading the league in passing yards. That’s not a good sign for his opponent in Week 11 in the New York Giants as the G-men have been leaking yards to opposing QBs, especially after getting baked by Dak Prescott for 404 yards in Week 10. The Giants are allowing the seventh-most passing yards to quarterbacks heading into Week 11.

Joshua Dobbs vs. DEN (32.5% Start)

Josh Dobbs has been on an incredible tear this season and it hasn’t stopped since he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Dobbs is averaging just over 17 FPPG and sits inside the top 10 among fantasy quarterbacks at the QB8 and has been cooking it up over the last three weeks. From Weeks 8-10, Dobbs has been averaging 25 points per game, putting him at the QB2 over that span with the only quarterback better being Dak Prescott. Denver could have their hands full if Dobbs can keep it going for another week. The Broncos are giving up nearly 18 FPPG to opposing quarterbacks (11th-most).

Devin Singletary vs. ARI (15.1% Start)

Man, I wish I had called this one last week! Devin Singletary went bonkers in Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals as he rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown scoring 23 fantasy points and finishing as the RB3. Singletary could continue to see work with fellow Texans running back Dameon Pierce dealing with an ankle injury. Should Singletary get called up to shoulder the workload, he gets an Arizona Cardinals defense allowing 110 yards per game on the ground. The Cardinals have also allowed 10 rushing touchdowns so an opportunity to score in the end zone is also on the table.

David Montgomery vs. CHI (71% Start)

David Montgomery’s return was a sight for sore eyes for fantasy managers after he missed four games due to a rib injury. Montgomery returned to his starter role rushing for a 9.7 y/a average against the Los Angeles Chargers, churning out 116 yards on just 12 attempts with a touchdown to boot. Montgomery gets the Chicago Bears defense that’s allowing just over 23 FPPG, the 10th-most among fantasy defenses heading into Week 11.

Terry McLaurin vs. NYG (48.6% Start)

Terry McLaurin had a down game in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Despite seeing eight targets in the game, McLaurin only caught half of the passes for 33 yards and no score. Gaining just 7.3 fantasy points in Week 10 isn’t what fantasy managers need but McLaurin has a chance to bounce back in Week 11 against the New York Giants. The Giants are giving up 188 yards per game to wide receivers heading into Week 11, the second-most among fantasy defenses. The Giants have also given up 10 touchdowns to wide receivers.

Devonta Smith vs. KC (38.9% Start)

Devonta Smith was a top 15 wide receiver back in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys before heading into the bye week but now he’ll have a chance to continue his momentum in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Dallas Goedert injured and expected to miss four weeks with a fractured arm, Devonta Smith could tap into the target share that Goedert was getting when he was on the field. Smith is getting nearly seven targets a game after the bye. The Chiefs are allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers but this game could be a high-scoring affair like it was during last season’s Super Bowl. The more targets that flow Smith’s way, the better.

Dalton Kincaid vs. NYJ (66.7% Start)

The Bills rookie tight end has been a pleasant surprise over the last couple of weeks since Dalton Knox went on injured reserve (sorry to say it this way). Kincaid has benefitted from seeing a substantial target share since stepping into the TE1 for Josh Allen, seeing 32 targets and becoming a top 2 tight end from Weeks 7-10. Kincaid is averaging 16.3 FPPG over that span placing him as the TE5. Kincaid will look to continue being involved in the Bills offense against a tough New York Jets defense in Week 11. The Jets rank 13th in points allowed to the tight end position but with the Jets likely focusing on Stefon Diggs, who dropped 102 receiving yards and a touchdown in their first meeting, there may be a path for Kincaid to be relevant in this game.

The Phinest Sit’ Em

Justin Fields vs. DET (9.8% Start)

Justin Fields is expected to return after missing a few games with a thumb injury. Fields hasn’t been the fantasy darling that was talked up all offseason, averaging 17.6 FPPG. While the number may have him just inside the top 15, Fields points are lifted by two big games in Week 4 (27.9 FP vs. DEN) and Week 5 (33 FP vs. WAS). Fields and the Bears take on the Detroit Lions who did give up 28.4 fantasy points against Justin Herbert. The Bears are giving up 251 yards per game to opposing quarterbacks (15th ranked). However, with his first game back after missing time and trying to shake off the rust against a tough Lions defense, it may be safer to wait and see how Fields responds after being out.

Miles Sanders vs. DAL (6.2% Start)

Miles Sanders has been dealing with injuries for the majority of the season and just recently returned to the field. But Chuba Hubbard has become a fixed feature in the Panthers’ backfield in Sanders’ absence. In Week 10, Hubbard saw more carries (9-2) than Sanders and saw the same amount of targets but was outgained from scrimmage 39-10. Sanders takes on a Cowboys defense that is allowing just 71 yards per game to the running back position. Leave Sanders far away from your fantasy lineups.

DeAndre Hopkins vs. JAX (73.6% Start)

Just when you thought it was safe to have Hopkins in your lineups after that three-touchdown performance when Will Levis came in, it’s been a nightmare for fantasy managers since. In Hopkins’s last two games, he’s had just 87 receiving yards, zero touchdowns, and just 8.1 fantasy points over those games. The Jaguars are giving up just over 36 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers but with Will Levis struggling over the last couple of weeks, Hopkins seems to be too risky to start until the passing offense for the Titans turns around.

Evan Engram vs. TEN (68.9% Start)

Evan Engram has been pretty solid up until last week when the Jaguars went up against the San Francisco 49ers. Engram finished the game with seven targets but only had four catches for just 12 yards. The Titans present a similar challenge as they have been able to slow down opposing tight ends, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game (7.6 FP) to the position.
